I hope some of you knowledgeable people here can help out a bit instead. It would have been great if AMD themselves had a FAQ page with that information, but they don't (at least I didn't find it). Because of that I'd like to learn more about what the components do and their use cases to better understand my CPU/mobo. Why else give the options at all? Also there are unfortunately many other software installers that sneak in bloated stuff you don't really need so I like to do a little research before installing extras.

But since AMD has spent time and resources on giving us these options there is probably some cases where it makes sense to not install one or more of them. Yes, I've seen some posts here and at r/AMD giving the advice "install all components". It seems weird to give the end user these options on what to install or not, without also giving information about what those options mean. Question: What do these 6 components do? I can't on AMD.com find a FAQ or KB that explains them.

The AMD chipset driver install help page only wites "by default, all components will be checked, which is recommended for a complete installation." Make sure the Include subfolders box is checked and hopefully, the driver will install. I would contact msi support/forum, ask them about the install issue with their driver pkg, and do you need it or can just install the one from AMD site. Select the 'Browse my computer for driver software' option, and browse to the driver folder you unzipped. They are all checked by default, but I can click to uncheck them. Click on the bergeordnetes Gert: ACPI\PNP0A08\0 device needing the driver.
